Zylo Technologies (Pty) Ltd (Zylo, we, us or our) aims to provide a clear, usable and inclusive digital experience across the Zylo website, Rider app and Driver app.
Accessibility is part of how we design, build and improve Zylo. We focus on practical usability, readable information, understandable controls and support for common assistive technologies.
1. Our accessibility commitment
We design Zylo so that people can understand information, navigate the interface, complete important actions and contact us without unnecessary barriers.
Our accessibility approach includes:
- clear page and screen structure;
- readable typography and appropriate contrast;
- descriptive labels for controls and form fields;
- keyboard-accessible website interactions;
- support for screen readers and other assistive technologies;
- clear validation and error messaging;
- responsive layouts for mobile, tablet and desktop use; and
- plain, understandable wording for important information.
2. Website accessibility
The Zylo website uses structured headings, meaningful links, labelled controls and responsive layouts to support navigation across different devices and input methods.
Interactive elements are designed to remain understandable when using a keyboard, browser zoom, enlarged text or common accessibility settings. Important information is not communicated by colour alone.
3. Rider and Driver app accessibility
The Zylo Rider and Driver apps use clear labels, consistent navigation, readable trip information and touch targets designed for practical use on mobile devices.
Core trip actions such as requesting a ride, reviewing trip information, confirming safety details, managing a trip and contacting Support are presented with clear visual hierarchy and concise instructions.
Device-level accessibility features such as text scaling, screen readers, contrast settings and other supported operating-system tools can also help people adapt their experience to their needs.
4. Content and readability
We aim to keep customer-facing information direct and understandable. Headings, instructions, buttons and important notices use concise wording so that users can scan and understand information quickly.
Legal and support content is organised into clear sections rather than relying on oversized text, decorative layouts or unnecessarily complex language.
5. Forms, errors and interactive controls
Forms use visible labels and clear instructions. When information is missing or invalid, the relevant field is identified and an understandable error message is shown near that field.
We avoid relying only on browser-default alerts for important form errors and aim to return focus to the area that needs attention where appropriate.
6. Assistive technology and device settings
Zylo is designed to work with modern browsers, mobile operating systems and commonly used assistive technologies. The experience can vary depending on the device, browser, operating-system version and assistive technology being used.
Keeping your browser, operating system and Zylo app up to date helps ensure access to the latest accessibility improvements and compatibility updates.
7. Accessibility limitations
Some third-party content or services used through Zylo can behave differently from Zylo-controlled interfaces. This can include mapping, payment, device or external web services.
If a feature, page or interaction creates an accessibility barrier, please report it to us. We review accessibility issues alongside other product, safety and support concerns and work to provide a practical alternative or correction where appropriate.
Need help using Zylo? If an accessibility issue prevents you from completing an important action, contact Zylo Support and tell us what you were trying to do, the device you were using and what went wrong.
8. Accessibility feedback
We welcome feedback about accessibility across the Zylo website and apps. Useful details include the page or screen involved, the device and browser or app version, the assistive technology being used and a description of the barrier you experienced.
Do not include passwords, card details or other sensitive credentials in an accessibility report.
9. Contact Zylo
For accessibility assistance, use the Zylo Help Centre or contact Zylo Support. General enquiries can also be submitted through our Contact page.
